“We founded Milestone Veterinary Care in Backus, MN in 2018. We started out vetting and shoeing horses in the original dairy barn that Keith & Patty, Ryan’s parents, built on this land in 1972. The need for more space led to building the current clinic opening in March 2020. We are both huge horse enthusiasts with a love for raising, training and competing in barrel racing and team roping. It’s pretty exciting seeing the embryos under the microscope, watching them foal out and all the steps it takes to get them to their first event and beyond.”

Fonda’s primary veterinary interests include sports medicine and reproduction. Ryan has an eye and art to shoeing a horse based on their radiographs to improve their soundness and performance.
